1st XI
Yesterday our 1st XI were defeated at home against Colne.
Bowling first, we were able to reduce Colne to 41-5 but then 80 from Colne professional Kumara and support from their lower order saw them post 210-7.
In response, we were 88 all out.
2nd XI
Our 2nd XI got off to a winning start away at Colne.
Choosing to bowl first, 5-48 from Samuel Davies helped us to restrict Colne to 204-9.
In response, a first wicket partnership of 170 between Euan Rushton (61) and Chris Oddie took us to within striking distance of the total.
Chris went on to hit a magnificent 107* as we reached the target for the loss of 2 wickets.
