The Club is sad to announce that after over 6 years in the official post, Michael Perrin has stood down as Treasurer of Great Harwood Cricket Club.

Mike has been a fantastic servant in the role looking after all things financial, and has recently overseen the most challenging financial period in our club’s long history with a calmness and composure those who know him have come to expect.

The workload imposed upon the role of Treasurer and all club officials in the last 12-15 months has been astronomical, but Mike leaves his role with the club well-positioned to come out of the pandemic as strong as a non-profit organisation like ours could wish for.

On behalf of everyone involved at the Club, we wish Mike well in his future endeavours. He will remain on the Club’s Committee and be on hand to assist wherever he can, and will no doubt be seen in our hospitality zones. I am sure he wouldn’t turn down any offers of continued investment in our club in the form of a pint or two, if you would care to assist him.

The Club is also delighted to announce that Neil Kennedy has agreed to take on the role of Club Treasurer, taking over from Mike in what has been a seamless transition to date. We all wish Neil well in the role, which will be ratified by our members at our next AGM.

For all financial matters, our treasurer can still be contacted through the same email address: treasurer@gtharwoodcc.co.uk
