After losing the toss GHCC were asked to bowl. A fantastic start soon had Church at 0-2 thanks to wickets from Harris and Tanny.
With wickets falling at regular intervals and only a few players getting to double figures it wasn’t long before Church were all out for 109. Tanny finishing with 4 wickets.
In reply GHCC got off to a better start but it wasn’t long before Christian Oddie was back in the dressing room for 3.
Solo, Zeain and Shak lost their wickets without troubling the scorers and it could have led to a collapse.
Adam Masood was however looking in good form and played some excellent shots before falling for 33.
Captain Russell scored some quick runs before the returning Aftab Hussain managed to get the captain out for 38.
This brought Shovey to the crease, whose experience showed and together with Harris guided GHCC to victory.
