On Wednesday 1st November 2017 we welcome the Lancashire League’s Heritage Roadshow to Great Harwood Cricket Club.
The roadshow is visiting all clubs within the Lancashire League, and the evening will see memorabilia and historically important items brought to the club, alongside a fantastic presentation with video footage on the history of the Lancashire League and the work the Heritage project are undertaking to inform, educate and engage with people throughout the local area to build understanding of what cricket means and has meant to people in the area, and to bring people together through stories and memories of Lancashire League cricket.
All are welcome to attend, with particular extension of the invite to local civic groups, local history enthusiasts, representatives from local schools and care homes (who may benefit from engagement with the heritage roadshow in future), and any individuals who have memories of the league that they may wish to share. Anybody that is interested in cricket, local history and community engagement will not want to miss this exceptional presentation.
There will also be a chance for attendees to get involved in the activities the project intends to deliver in the future.
The club will be open from 7pm for a 7:30 start.
