Introducing our Headline Partners for 2023-2024 – The Philip Maher Foundation

Headline Partners 2023-24

The Committee of Great Harwood Cricket Club are delighted to be in a position to continue our partnership with local charity The Philip Maher Foundation as our Headline Partners for 2023 & 2024.

Ahead of the coming season, the Club is delighted to be able to continue our arrangement for a further two years, to help build on the exposure the Charity has received from being our Headline Club Partners for the last two years.

The Charity’s name and branding will appear on our white match day kit, all training wear and associated teamwear for the 2023 & 2024 seasons across our senior cricket teams, namely our four Men’s teams and our two Ladies teams.

We are delighted to continue to play a very small part in the remarkable success story of the Philip Maher Foundation, which was set up in 2015 following the sudden death of long-standing Great Harwood Cricket Club member Phil Maher with the aim of improving access to automated defibrillators in amateur sport and local communities.

We were honoured to be the first site chosen and supported by the Charity back in 2015, and since then a further 28 sites and the local communities that surround them have benefitted from the provision of automated defibrillators.

These other sites include our cricket colleagues at Rishton, Lowerhouse, Salesbury, Whalley, Oswaldtwistle Immanuel, Enfield, Padiham, Baxenden, Church, Earby, Accrington, Bacup, Darwen & Burnley who have each been supported with secure cabinets and defibrillators, together with ongoing maintenance and replacement parts & supplies.

We are delighted to be in the position where we can continue to use our profile as a local sports club and community hub to support the profile of a local charity, and to help them continue to raise money over the next 2 years through a number of events at the Club.

We are delighted to support the Charity in their upcoming Comedy Night on 6th April. A handful of tickets are still available here

The previous two events held were fantastic evenings, and we are sure this will also be a massive success.

You can find out more about the fantastic work the charity do in our local communities via their website https://www.philipmaherfoundation.com/ or by following them on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
