Hawks Academy wicket keepers pre-season masterclass with Warren Hegg

Last Sunday young wicket keepers from across our Hawks Academy junior sides, along with several from other local clubs were able to step up their preparations for the new season with a specific wicket keeping training session with ex Lancashire and England keeper Warren Hegg.

Warren ran through several training drills for what is a very specialised and vitally important role in any cricket team, as well as talking through techniques and assisting the young keepers individually.

Thank you to Warren for taking the time out to help our young wicket keepers.

Thank you also to our Hawks Academy coaches, John Seedle, Kasir Masood, Paul Newton and Thomas Newton, who assisted with the session.

And last but not least, thank you to Wayne Fitzharris of The Professional British Butler School for the continued sponsorship of our Hawks Academy. This support enables us to put on sessions like this for our young aspiring cricketers.

Below are several photos of the session, which took place at Accrington College.
